In an effort to heighten awareness about homelessness and poverty-related issues in Cincinnati, the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition has joined forces with Pop to create a new communication strategy. The effort will include a refined identity and website for the Coalition, which represents more than 40 separate organizations. We're aiming to complete the work in time for GCCH's big annual fundraiser in December 2010.
The Coalition focuses on three vital elements: advocacy, education, and coordination of services. The Coalition's long-term mission is to end homelessness, which is obviously a massive goal. In order to reach such a goal, the Coalition advocates for the rights of citizens experiencing poverty and homelessness in the Cincinnati area, and works to educate the public at large about the causes and potential solutions to poverty and homelessness. Additionally, they help fight for their member organization's funding sources and act as an information resource for those first seeking services or wishing to get involved with the movement to end homelessness.
Their work is truly grassroots in nature and ultimately works toward strengthening Cincinnati, and that's something we can really get behind.
